What is Swan’s Grave About? (Plot Synopsis)

Anna is a woman from another world who wants to go home. To do this, she pretends to be a maid in a spooky place called the Lorengreen Marquisate, or “The Swan’s Grave.”

Things start to go wrong quickly.

She meets a mean nobleman named Marquis Rothbart, who thinks Anna is his wife from long ago. He forces her to stay and offers her a tricky deal. Anna soon gets drawn into her new home’s dark history.

What starts as her clever plan to escape turns into a dangerous situation. The Marquis becomes obsessed with her. As the story goes on, it asks a spooky question: What happens when a bird gets so comfortable in its cage that it doesn’t want to leave?
